I have to disagree, you are a far cry from a grown man....you bet the gambling industry would make a ton of money, they already are, from real adults giving it to them. what happens in Vegas stays in vegas...that would be the money...grow up fast or you will end up on their loser list also

You make an interesting argument. In general, I agree with the principle that 18-year-olds are adults, so should be able to gamble. However, the government there must feel that gambling compels more caution, like drinking. In both cases, the age is 21. Gambling is a recreation, rather than a fundamental right, so in this matter, I suppose I side with the ability of Las Vegas to set the rule at 21.

The casino in Niagara Falls NY would let 18 years gamble but they have free alcohol. This is why they have the 21 year old rule. In Canada, you can be 19 years old and gamble and drink alcohol.

Because the government is trying to prevent young people from committing foolish acts. Gambling is mathematically foolish. If a person invested what the average gambler gambles, that person would end up a multi-millionaire at retirement... *every* time, not just once in 175 million.

I agree but my reason is a little less self centered, I think if your 18 and you can go and fight in wars and die for your country i think you should be able to gamble, drink, and do every other thing that is limited by our government from people who sit at desks telling the world what is good for ourselves.

the gambling age is 21, the only reason u r not allowed to gamble is because the casino may have alcohol, a casino like turningstone has no alcohol so you can gamble there.

Because at 18, you're probably earning little to no money. And most teenagers are immature and irresponsible ... heck, some adults are still immature and irresponsible ... what more at 18?
