met a guy at that grocery store no less exchanged words ended up talking for an hour told me his life story ect. showed up at bar i mentioned id be at talked the night away more life story blah blah blah showed up the next day at my shop to say hello gave me hug and havent heard from him again is this how things work these days i mean really i know the standard anserw but i ve never had this one thanks

Maybe he is just busy or is out of town or had a crisis come up. You are not exactly dating so he has no commitment to go any further with you than he has. He might also be a fibber. Lots of times guys make up a wonderful "past life" that has nothing to do with the truth. They use the story to get to know you better. Some people are just like this. They are manic and get on a roll and then they turn inward again. I hate to bring this up but this has been the "modus operandi" for several serial killers. I am not an internet screwball, I am just asking you to be careful.

Perhaps you are fat and he likes them skinny. He was probably entertaining the thought of doing a fatty. You know the saying about mopeds and fat girls...fun to ride until your friends see you on one. Good times!!!

perhaps there was something said or something about the shop that he saw the turned him off. have you tried calling him to show your interest?
