Why won't Bush pardon these guys?
What would you like to do to the jury who convicted them?

I would say that this is because President Bush has historically taken a 'hands-off' approach to courts and trials.

Besides - from what little I understand of the subject - I get the impression that those agents were not convicted of the shootings, but for their conduct after the shootings.

using actuality they're criminals. Pardons are meant to given to those which could make a solid case for their innocence after conviction, which those 2 border patrol person adult males won't have the skill to do. What approximately each and all of the teen molesters, murderers, and rapists who get crushed on the area of death in detention midsection -- would prefer to those criminals get pardoned using actuality they have been crushed, too? How is imprisoning a "undesirable cop" a travesty of justice?

this is where the conspiracy people should actually be looking for something Bush has done wrong or lied to the American people.
I am a conservative and something stinks between Bush and Mexico. He refuses to close the borders. He refuses to allow the National Guard to stop illegal entries and on top of everything the federal Government gave amnesty to a drug dealer twice when captured with narcotics in this country. The President by constitutional law is required to ensure that the country's borders are protected. He talks about defending against terror yet he leaves the back door open and says COME ON IN. The border patrol guards were betrayed. The evidence is clear here Federal Prosecutors lied

I don't recall any convictions in any of the border shootings yet. Can you be more specific?

BTW: There cannot be any pardon until a jury has convicted someone. The President can only pardon for federal crimes. A governor can pardon for state crimes.

If Bush pardons them...they'll run in front of the TV cameras yelling about the Bush immigration policy is BS and start a NASCAR Dad rally. This would be damaging to the Bush Agenda of allowing underground labor class into our country...so we are planning on holding those Border Guards without a trail or evidence until the next election is over.

I think its going to take some time. I believe it'll happen, but with Bush being in the "hotseat" right now, he doesn't want to fuel any fires. I think he'll explore every possibility and get many opinions before a decision is made. Personally, I hope he does pardon them.

Bush isn't Clinton. He believes in letting the court system work. They still have some appeals left.As fore the jury, they heard the evidence & found them guilty. I dont like it & you dont like it but WE were not there. You can not settle a trial on feelings.lets set back & see where things go. It is not over yet.

Read the whole story and you figure it out. These guys had no integrity. Yes, they have an important job and we need good border patrol agents, but you need to be honest and not try to hide things.

Time will tell but I think GW will let the case run through court then AFTER the next election has occurred if the courts have not righted this wrong... he will pardon them ...when it will not effect the voters for his party for President....we shall see,
GW is a lot smarter than the libbies give him credit for...he did beat them TWICE

It sounds to me like there is some kind of deal between the Mex. govt and the US. I usually support Bush on his decisions but this is one that I totally disagree with. If you are really concerned you should call you state senator or representative and voice your concerns. That is what I did.
