Laminate floor cannot be refinished or polyurethaned. The finish is made of aluminum oxide with a decor paper beneath it. Laminate floors are made to last from 10 to 35 years so either the laminate is pretty old or it's defective. If the finish is worn through, there is absolutely no way to repair it. If some boards are chipped or broken, they can be replaced individually by a professional.
sorry.

Odd - laminates usually have a life of 25-50 years without refinishing. Try moping with a solution of 1 cup white Vinegar to 2 gallons hot water then if it still looks dull try a build up remover. It probably has been improperly cleaned so removing the "oil and wax" will go a long way to improving the look. If it still looks cloudy or faded it will be cheaper to replace the floor as the veneer on laminate is to thin to sand and refinish. Good Luck!

I don't know if it is possible to "refinish" laminate flooring. The finish pattern on laminate is a very thin coating under a hard finish.
I suggest you discuss your needs with a good flooring company. If there is only a small section (a few planks) that need to be redone, it may be possible to just replace then.

I didn't think you could refinish laminate flooring. (as in sanding)
I would think you could touch up and buff up the floors and then re coat with polyurethane.
Good Luck finding someone.
