I'd ask Suze Orman! She is the bomb at financial advice! First off, you get rid of your credit cards and pay them off. If you have more than one car, consider selling it if its just for luxury, so to speak. You should also be able to get advice from the military or from the VFW. I have also heard a good one about credit cards - they REALLY want you to pay them, and will practically bend over backwards for you. Tell them you are considering consolidating all your debt into a lower interest rated card, and would they be willing to lower THIERS. I hear it works. How much you need anyway? I would also like to tell you of a terrific find! Emigrant Bank pays 5% interest on its savings accounts! No minimum, no fees, no NUTTIN! You will find them online.
