Depends.....What kind of furniture do you like? For Contemporary furniture, try Eurway.com, they are a little bit more durable than Ikea and still very affordable.....Traditional, try Ashley Homestore....Best of luck~!

Aarons?...LOL that's so ghetto. Furniture stores vary from place to place. In the New York Metro, if you're going to buy good furniture, the best places are Macy's, Bloomingdales, Eistein Moomjy's, Safahvieh (spelling correct? LOL). We have a beautiful dining set we just bought on sale for a little under $10000, from Drexel Heritage, solid wood beautifully hand carved, with inlayed wood. The legs of the chairs have leaf patterns carved into them. They have one in Long Island, Other places that are decent in price but the quality just isn't the same, is Seamans, Value City Furniture, Ashley, and Bob's Discount.

Another good store...we got a beautiful wrought iron breakfast table with beveled glass from Fortunoff...for $400. They have really beautiful good quality things for great prices.

It depends what state you live in. I think you should put more details for this question. Some states have different furniture stores.

depends where you live? also, the kind of furniture, eg. colonial, contemporary, shaker, traditional, unfinished, etc. will influence the right answers.
highway stores tend to have lower quality, mass produced, imported furniture and they tend to be less expensive than dept stores carrying the same items. name brands like ethan allen are higher quality/higher priced and also have their own stores.

I love Ikea. It's inexpensive, modern, and fairly solid. And for the price, you can change your look every couple of years without feeling guilty about wasting money.
