Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver caused by a virus,drugs,
or other factors.So far,there are six known kinds or viral hepatitis;
A,B,C,D,E,and G. They differ in how they are transmitted,as well as how long and how severely they can affect you.For example,
hepatitis A and E,milder forms,are spread through contaminated foods or water,while hepatitis B,C,and D,more serious forms,
are spread through contact with human blood or by sexual
activity(primarily B).Hepatitis B and C ( also called HBV and HCV)
have the greatest potential to damage your liver in the long term.
There is a vaccine for the prevention of hepatitis B,but not for C.
So, the main thing is to educate your partner with some honest
communication.Both of you should see your doctor together because your partner can receive a vaccine against hep B.
Follow the instructions of a doctor who is well qualified in the
treatments for hepatitis and you should have no worries.

Only if your partner doesn't know. As long as your intended is well aware of it and is still willing marry you I don't see a problem. If your partner doesn't know, then don't even think about it until you talk to them about it. My hope is that you are responsible enough and have enough respect and love for your partner to have told them about this long ago, especially if you two have been engaging in intimate relations. 'Proud to be 51' is right. For a majority of the people who get it, HepB can be treated and will leave the system within a few months or so. You will usually develop an immunity to it after that. For a small portion of the people who have it, it becomes a chronic infection - the virus remains in the blood stream usually starts to effect the liver. I don't know your particular situation or what catagory you fall into. If you haven't as of yet, seek medical attention. Chances are very good that you can get this cleared up with medication, rest and time. Just be honest with your partner about everything.

Hepatitis B is not a chronic disease, so you should recover from it with rest. I had Hep B when I was 22 and was home from work for 6 weeks, and then I was fine. The antibodies stay in your blood, so you can't ever give blood or donate organs, but as far as your general health, you will be fine once you're over it. There shouldn't be any reason whatsoever why you can't get married.

It's not wrong to get married, as long as your fiance knows and accepts it. Good luck!

well, does the future hubby know? It'd be wrong to lie about it. Just because you have it doesn't mean you don't deserve to get married.
