They have not scraped up the nads to get to the shop yet. So, they bash you, or me, or us for being tattooed. I love the art, and probably won't stop getting them. Hopefully, I can have my OWN shop one day. I have a great job, great life, and some very awesome friends. Some of which I met here. So hey, if they can't deal with tats, piss on 'em. They will say some nasty stuff about us, when all we ask is a simple question. That really annoys me to no end............taking a breath.........

Some people are not as open minded as others, but is it okay to be so open minded that your brains fall out? Just kidding!
I don't think I would ever personally get a tattoo, but I do have piercings that I think are about the same thing. If you are destroying your body...it is all same. Respect others and their rights to do what they want. If it's not hurting you then don't comment. Turn your eyes away if you don't like what you see. Just because two people are making out in public doesn't mean you have to look. If you wanna look, then go right ahead. Body art is best respected when commented on and admired. It is our blank canvas and staring at art is polite.

People get tattoos for many different reasons, and people who don't like tattoos shouldn't judge that person. The person with the tattoo can have a story behind it or there friends died. Someone they loved. Their gang, their hood. Blood.I have a tattoo of my homie name are u going to hate me for that?

You know, the next interview we hold, I'm going to hold it in my sleeveless gym tee and scratch in a new question to our list - "Do you have tats at least as good as the guy to your right?" (j/k... maybe).

(Any unix admins/engineers out there looking for a job in the Monterey bay/Santa Cruz area?)

I really am curious on how things will change over the course of the next decade or two. I've seen piercings go from "ew, you pierced your ear dude" to the very cool array around today in the same timespan. One of my co-workers only just noticed I have a small stud in my right ear - it's that little of a deal.

I wonder if, instead of the predictions of the haters, people will look on the lower back tats/bicep wraps/whatever and think "oooh, classic"... if they notice them at all.

That would rock.

Most of the Hater's answer your question because they're sitting there in the home space answering every question that comes along
PS You did notice that we jump on the haters and put them down in this group didn't ya......good luck

The "tattoo haters" are usually answering questions from young people who are thinking about getting tattoos. Many of the so called haters are simply giving advice to younger people who don't have the life experience to understand the permanence and potential consequence of a tattoo. As an example:

There are lots of people get tattoos when they are young that they regret or wish to change later in life.

Many job interviewers have a negative attitude toward visible tattoos. At age 18, many young people are not thinking about the fact the tattoo they are about get could limit their earning potential.

Many people do not approve of tattoos for personal or religious reasons. This includes future potential love interests. At age 18, many young people are not thinking about the fact the tattoo they are about get could limit their love life as someone they are interested in may find tattoos abhorrent.

People don't generally judge others by hair, skin or eye color but may be judgmental about tattoos because a tattoo is something about your being that is optional. This is the difficult thing to get young people to understand.

The bottom line is people answer these question because they care enough to take a moment to advise someone they don't know.

These questions come up when I am looking a beauty and style. People are not necassarily looking for tattoo questions. Some questions like yours catch my eye. It is your body do what you want with it. It is just about taste and preferences like anything else. People may like one color better than another or be attracted or not to people with tatoos. It is just style and it is subjective.

some people love to spread negativity! it's best just to thumbs down them and go about your day. i love my tattoos and i love the fact that i have them. i don't care why they hate tattoos and why they feel the need to let other people know that they hate all tattoos. i'm not trashy, s*utty, stupid, poor, uneducated or any of the other stereotypes. just smile at the fact that you know better than they do.

To Sugaglo....Jesus has a tattoo....read revelation....
and also....as a person who believes in God, and Jesus as the Son of God.....who are you to judge? Stop preaching, leave that to someone annointed by God......believe me, you have better things to do and other ways to glorify Him besides being critical and analytical.......
