I have been there, and I finally went and got help. I have been medicated now since 1996. It saved my life. My son is another thing that keeps me alive. I was diagnosed with bipolar but I tend to fall to the depressed side. I really know what youre feeling. All you have to do is go to a doctor that specializes in this and tell them what youre going thru. Its so worth it. Sometimes it takes some time to find the right meds for YOU, but in time you will, and youll be much happier. Youll be glad you did.*

I have felt like this too for a long time. You can't always just make it go away on your own or just "make yourself" feel better unfortunatley. You can ask for help though. Talking to trained professionals is the best thing you can do. They can guide you and help you find out the cause of your depression (and you are depressed if you feel suicidal), then once the cause is established you can start with them on a plan to get better, which may include medication and perhaps therapy. Good luck.xx

I personally have not had thoughts of suicide. But I know life can be so hard some times. Don't give up, there are people who love and card for you. Imagine how they would feel if you were gone. Imagine them feeling the same way after your gone. Would you wish that on anyone who love and care for you. Life is really hard, but you need to learn to over come the obstacles. Always think of those who are in worst situations than you are. If they are not giving up, than you shouldn't either. Just hang in there, there will be a brighter day. If everyone gave up when things got rough, this world would be empty. Cheer up, i promise there's better days ahead of you!!! ;)

I've had close friends commit suicide and the best answer I can pffer you is to Go Get Help!! The fact that you recognize it as wrong and you want to do something positive about it is the first step to getting better. Talk to your doctor to refer you to a psychiatrist/therapist. Only good things can come from it if you are willing to commit yourself to getting better! Hang in there.. more people love you than you might realize. You're worth a lot more than you feel right now and in given time you'll see that. There is too much to live for. Hang in there. God bless and take care. Good luck!

I had a cousin that was in this situation years ago. I can say that you can't help yourself. You will need help from professionals that can help you through this. They will help you in areas that you can't help yourself.
After his second suicide attempt, he did seek help. He spent many years in theraphy. Had to have lots of counseling.
It took a very long time, but the counselors help him determine and almost pin point what was causing his depression, saddness, physical exhaustion and suicide attempts. Thank God he is still with us today and he's happy.
Until you can figure out what is causing the problem, you will not get better. Do you have family that knows about these thoughts? If so, you'll need a lot of family support and love.

Well killing yourself is not the right thing to do, if you do that you either go nowhere or someplace very dark and then there really will be no hope for happiness. See a doctor they can give you pills that will help you but don't get into taking drugs unless a doctor says so. Things will get better. You need some good pills. Have a nice day sir.

If you start thinking seriously about suicide call: 1-800-SUICIDE. That is the national suicide prevention hot-line.
Suicidal thinking is common and usually temporary but if you need help type, "suicidal thinking" into Yahoo! search and a number of links will come up. There is a lot of help available for this even a lot on Yahoo! answers. Type "suicidal thinking" into "yahoo search for resolved questions" on this site.
If you think you need a psychologist for depression I suggest getting your family doctor's recommendation. Depression is caused by negative thinking so the first step is to start thinking positive.
Good luck, Peace and Love!

suicidal thoughts are short lasting. if you are young, then you have no reason to be suicidal, the future is as malleable as it can get, but the only one who can do the molding is you, and that's an unconditional choice you are going to have to make.
try meditation and/or talking to friends (especially if the source of your suicidal thoughts is social anxiety). others may tell you to watch movies or something like that, but that type of treatment is only temporary, and only useful if you plan on getting professional help soon

I say don't go see doctors or therapists because they only make matters worse. What I recommend is that you take a trip somewhere. Doesn't have to be with friends or family, you could go alone if you want to. Just get out of your usual routine of doing things. Get your mind straight. Talk to people. Suicide is not an option dude. C'mon don't be weak. That's the easy way out. If you're gonna go out, go out in the struggle. Go out knowing that you took the hard way. Get these thoughts out of your head. You're better than that. People care dude. I care.

Do something fun. See a movie, listen to some good music. Basically find a distraction so you aren't sitting around sulking about how life sucks.
