I assume you are drinking all of it at about the same time. You need to pace yourself and be drinking water all day. It's easier then you think. Have a glass of water with breakfast, lunch and dinner; there's 3. One before bed and one when you wake up in the morning that's 6. Have at least another two at some point throughout the day. Have a glass of water on your desk at work. Make it a goal to drink it between getting to work in the morning and going to lunch. It's not difficult to drink one glass of water over a 3 hour time period. Do the same in the afternoon, between lunch and dinner.
Also, cut out juice, soda and coffee(if you can) out of your diet. Replace each one of those with a glass of water Juices are full of sugar. You should be getting your vitamins from fresh fruits and vegetables, not sugar, from concentrate juices.
Have a water bottle with you at all time; at work, in the car, at the gym, while your watching TV. Drink it slowly throughout your day.

What is the reason your doctor wants you to drink 8 glasss of water? What do you think it is your body needs. Take responsibility and try not to become dependant on "authorities" Big trap.
Add some vitamin C to your water or drink diluted herb teas. Spread your fluid intake over the day.
Drink some broth to for the electrolytes.
be sure you do not drink chlorinated water...Rooibos tea is pretty good too and has minerals. Good luck.

You aren't used to it yet.
Keep bottles or cups of water all over: on your desk at work, on the nightstand, at the computer, in the car, etc.
Also, start every meal with a glass of water.
When you feel hungry, drink a glass of water before your snack.
Make sure you don't slug it down...drink it like you would a soda.
Your body will adjust to having it.

Doctors don't say that. It is an 'old wives tale'. Perpetuated by the bottled water industrry.
You get much of the water you need from the foods that you eat.
All food contains water.
Though you still want to drink fluids to keep yourself properly hydrated, it does not matter what those fluids are.
The is an article about this on www.Snopes.com

No need to drink that many glasses. Drink small quantities and keep yourself from getting thirsty. Take other juices etc. if you want.
