A ex-girlfriend once made this Bacalhau dish but instead of using the bacalhu fish (cod) she used tuna (cans of shredded tuna). Does anyone know a good recipe for a bacalhau dish but with tuna?

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but it's tasty nonetheless:

Atún a la Vizcaína

Ingredients:
Olive oil (you can use any oil you like)
1 onion, chopped into small pieces
3 – 4 cloves of garlic, minced
5 small cans of tuna, or 2 big ones and one small one- drain all cans of tuna
1 10oz jar of Spanish olives, the kind with pimento inside, drained and chopped
1 small jar (about 4 oz) of capers, drained and minced
1 bunch of cilantro, washed and chopped (recipe calls for parsley, you can choose either)
1 15oz can of tomato sauce (not paste)

Directions:
Heat enough oil to sauté the onion on medium to medium-high heat; after it has begun to caramelize, add garlic and sauté a few minutes more. It’s important not to burn the garlic because it will taste bitter if burnt.

Add tuna to onion and garlic mix, break up large chunks and mix well with the veggies. Next add olives and capers and mix well.
Add cilantro to the mix.

Add tomato sauce at the end, mix well and stir occasionally. If necessary, lower heat so as not to burn the ingredients; keep the dish over the heat until the liquid has evaporated.

Place mix into refrigerator and allow it to cool - overnight is best, since the mix tastes better the longer you allow the flavors to blend.

Serving suggestions:
Sandwiches
On crackers
With pita bread
On tortilla chips
In lettuce wraps

Enjoy!
