Dogma is simply a set of ideas that are taught with the idea youre not supposed to question them in any fashion, nor explore the criticisms of it.

Doctrine is more like a subject matter, like the doctrine of salvation, sin, baptism, etc.

Dogma and doctrine are belief through being taught belief. The opposite is gnosis....belief based on direct expereince of God. Most Churches emphasize dogma because that way they don't have to have people regularly doubting God through not experiencing anything.

literrally, the word "doctrine" as well as the word "dogma" means "teaching" or "what is taught".
So when we talk about church doctrines, we just mean the teachings of the church.
