Classmates will call them "fatty" or something like that,, and you dont want that to happen right!!

They get fat and lazy. But exercise for a child is different than for us. They don't have to run on a treadmill to get exercise. They can just go out to the park and play for at least an hour a day or play kick ball or hide and seek. Just as long as they have some physical activity and eat well.

Just look around you and you can see the results. 25% of UK children are obese. Type 2 diabetes is both epidemic and affecting people in their 20s, when it was a disease of people in their mid 50s. Appallingly it is being predicted that the too many calories in and too little energy out generation of kids that are growing up now, could be outlived by many of their parents!

Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.

they wont be healthy and may get fat. But even if they dont get fat they will not be fit which is very important, a fit child grows into a fit adult. An unfit and overweight child is far more likely to have health problems as an adult if the issue is not addressed.
