I know some of these need to run but this is getting insane.

McFrugan ... Yes, RLH & Janet are correct.

However, I just wanted to add this. After you restart your computer next time, Windows is going to scare you a bit with a message that points out that someone has made changes to your configuration. If you don't check the box that disables this message from being displayed, you'll be seeing this message each time you start or restart your system.

Normally you can just right click on the icon and exit or close it. If you want to stop it from starting in the first place go to.....

Start>Run>type in msconfig>Enter. Then go to the startup tab and uncheck what you don't need to run.

click on start, then click on run, when the pop up window comes up type in msconfig. when the window pops up it will be a system configuration window; go to the tab that says startup and click on it. when that comes up go through and uncheck the ones that you do not want to run on start up. you will have to restart your computer after you get done.

you can also right click on the toolbar, click on task manager, click on processes then right click on the item you want to end it
