No, We set our wedding date the day after we got engaged. We knew what we wanted and went for it. We picked a date that meant something to us and went with it.

we were both eager to set the date, engagement meant to us planning the wedding, and we didn't get engaged till we knew we were lookin at that in about a year, I don't see much sence in gettin engaged if your not gonna set one within a month, it doesn't even have to be a near date, if you want to set a date 3 years down the road thats fine, but engagement is a step towards marriage and if its gonna just be a continued datin thing then its sorta useless and diminishes the meaning for those of us who plan to get somewhere with our engagement.
