Make up a simple cut and paste website for one of your classes and save onto your desktop. Then say that you are sharing ideas with someone and gathering information for that class. At least make it look legitimate to her if she comes and checks on your computer. or really do some home work and save it on your desktop so it will be out in the open. That way, it's not as bad of a lie. There's nothing wrong with a lil chatty fun with someone as long as you have all your homework done first.

Lock your room or something. If i have friends on, i don't just talk for an hour on the internet in the morning. Well, only on weekends though.

it's ok... better than running up cell phone charges. but, is it keeping you from other things? like your homework or household responsibilities?? If it is free time, you can do what you want. Please remember though, mom pays the bills and has a right to say what she wants. negotiate and both can win!
