We are planning a romantic destination wedding with just myself and my fiance. We do not want to have any wedding guests there with us. Is it ok to still have a honeymoon registry?

No, it's not ok.

If you're having a destination wedding without guests then you shouldn't be sending out invitations. Instead you'd send out wedding *announcements* which are sent after the wedding.

It is very selfish of you to ask your friends and family to pay for your honeymoon *especially* since none of them are invited to the wedding. Like another poster said, why would your friends or family help pay for your vacation when they may not be albe to take one themselves.

If you can't afford to have a destination wedding and honeymoon then you shouldn't go. Plan something you can afford without the help of others.

I'm sorry if you don't like my answer, but you asked.

Well, I think people could go either way on this one. Usually guests bring gifts to your wedding (as they were invited to share in your day) But as you're not inviting anyone to share in your day (which is perfectly fine if that's what you want) but I don't know how some people are going to take the registry. I would buy a close friend or close relative a gift from their registry if they were going away for their wedding just the two of them. But anyone else, probably not.

No bridal bathe or registry of any variety (a honeymoon registry could be irrelevant in any condition), yet a bridal party is superb to deliver to the trip spot. Your intuition to pass the party afterwards is clever. only get on with married existence. Congratulations. :-)

heck no! first off all, your not having any guests so technically why should anyone give you a gift? secondly, pay for the wedding.honeymoon whatever your doing yourself. I find honeymoon registry to be cheesy no matter what. most people cant eve nafford a vacation themselves. why should they pay for yours. my husband and I didnt take a honeymoon cuz we couldnt afford it and we would never dear of asking our guests to supply us with one.

Absolutely not. Tacky and selfish if you do.
