Daewoo use vauxhall engineering, whether they still do i am not sure, £1,800 is not bad for a car that year and mileage, however if the sellers want that price then u r in a strong position as they wish to sell u the car, and keep it that way as u will be able to bargain them down, once u show a lot of intrest and become a buyer then the person selling has u because u want to buy the car, so dont show too much intrest in it , tell them u have other cars to look at, keep them as the seller and u will pick up a bargain, do i make sense to u ? Good Luck.

Please let me know if i have been of any help.

Bubbles obviously doesn't know anything about cars. If I were you I would run a mile. The car isn't worth £500 in real money terms and if you think you will be able to find another halfwit to buy such a car your dreaming you will be stuck with it for ever or until you scrap it.
If you have £1,800 to spend on a car then you won't go wrong in investing it in a six year old Skoda Fabia or a seven year old Skoda Octavia. You get VW build quality and reliability and come resale time a good return on your money.
Walk away my friend and look else where, I implore you.
All the best,
Andrew D
