Ty,
YES, I do. I am a Christian and I believe that we should be reading and studying the BIBLE so that we are able to answer to GOD when that time comes. We are told that the Judgment will come as a "theif in the night". We want to be certain that we are able to know what we are to do in every instance and be able to answer for our every action on earth. GOD gave us life. HE sent his son so that we would be able to be in heaven with HIM. Let's all attempt not only to get there but to be able to get others there with us as we are told to do in Matthew 28:18-21. Have a great Saturday and a wonderful Lord's Day!
Thanks,
Eds

No!
Here are my reasons why.
The Bible or any other religous book is open
to many interpretations.
"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth",
taken out of context can mean revenge.
But God also said "revenge is mine".
You have the era of the Holy Wars where
millions of people were slautered becuase
they believed in the wrong God or religion.
Religion was and still is, a powerfull
psychological tool that can help or destroy
one's beliefs, depending on who is preach-
ing it.
The Romans and the Greeks of ancient times
had a God for every aspect of their lives.
Hielos for the sun God, Venus for the Goddes
of love, Mercury ,the God of speed, and so on.
These Gods all favored the rich and the ones
that had political power.
There was no God for the poor and the
endentered slaves.
The invention of a religion that appealed to
the masses, Chistianity, changed all that.
Jesus, The Christ, preached that there was
a God, his father, that would deliver the poor
and the opressed to salvation.
Finally, there was a God, and only one God,
that would cater to the meek and defenseless.
At last, there was Hope where there was none.
The Romas, feeling this new idea was a threat
to their political power, indicted and persecuted,
Jesus the Christ for his teachings.
I can go on and on, but my answer to your
question is this.
Don't believe everything you read.
If you are in doubt, do some more research.
The best you can do is treat everyone
the way you want to be treated. Use
your comon sense.

I have read the bible a Time or two, but find that I learn more in a word study of it. For example if I am interested in a subject for example "soul" I read all scripture with that word in them, then I can come to an understanding. If a person wants to change his life or values to understand the bible and survive the things to come, then for example See Mathew 6:9,10, think about what it says? then read Revelation 21:3,4 or Daniel 2:44 and see if this is not part of the answer to the prayer? If for example I am interested in the Last Days read 2 Tim 3:1-4, It i good to have a study bible with word reference.

Every day I read from the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants, which are all scriptures followed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I have read the New Testament in Greek, the entire Bible in Latin and several English versions.

I remain unconvinced.

YES I DO SOMETIMES, BUT I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE WORDS IN IT SOMETIMES. I DO NOT READ IT ALL AT ONCE-I READ A CHAPTER-PUT IT DOWN FOR A TIME THAN I GO BACK AND READ SOME MORE. THIS IS SO I DON'T GET TO CONFUSED WITH THE READING.

I've never read the entire thing, but I've read a few passages from it. My parents aren't very religious, though, so I know very little about it. But I do plan to read it soon.
