ARe you doing the audition TO the camcorder or is someone just going to tape it while you perform... BIG difference.
In the first instance, say, if you are taping your own audition to send in, be relaxed with the intro and speak like you are talking to a good friend. Give the background info. requested, nothing more, nothing less. Then go ahead and perform. Always, always look at the result yourself, to determine whether YOU are satisified with it before you send it off.
If someone is going to tape a live audition, you really have to nail it the first time around. REALLY dig deep down and while rehearsing, try to get into character asking yourself, what would ______ do? How would __________ act in an audition!?! Try to relax and have fun with it! Look at it this way, you are gaining experience. AND if you don't win the part, don't lose the lesson learned!! Normally you can ask for feedback.

Just forget that there's a camera.
Be natural.
The more you're aware of the camera, the more your performance will suffer.
