To Mr. Patrick:

The Ford Crown Victoria tops out well above 120. The Chevy Impala is even faster.

Doesn't matter how fast you think you can go. There isn't a bike alive that outruns a helicopter.

If you find yourself in a police chase, it might just be easier for you if you stop. Why add more felonies to the list?

And don't even let me start with German cars. If I got paid 10 bucks for every breakdown of my 2000 Audi A6, I'd be a millionare.

I've seen videos of people in Europe outrunning cops. You will never see footage on TV of this happening though because they don't want to encourage people running from cops.

It does happen though, most bikers can do it no problem, I think the average police cruiser will top out at 120 so if you can go faster than that and it's a late night and none of their other cop friends are out there you can do it.

But don't do it, if you do get caught they're gonna hit you with every fine in the book.

Edit - Response to Captain Moe. Yes I'm sure some police departments may choose to modify their cruisers to go faster than 120, but most don't. And yes helicopters are fasters than bikes, but are they available to be up in the air when the time comes? No not usually unless you're in Los Angeles or something.

Sorry I've heard too many stories from friends where they are going on the highway on their bike and pass a cop that was in the slow lane and full throttle it and get off the highway a few miles ahead.

I Once flew my helicopter over a guy that was on a bike he thought he was clever! Oh yes ! He thought he was nice safe under that carport but when He got it from four angles there was no where to go but he tried and flew out of that carport like a shot . I hit him with the light and blinded him and he ran right into a kiddie pool. How could he ever imagine escaping !!

This is a really bad idea in the first place. My stepbrother tried to outspeed the cops after they tried to pull him over for speeding, he crashed and was then arrested and taken to jail. He now has been convicted of a felony and will be on probation for 2 years. He could have just gotten pulled over and paid the the ticket. Not really worth it, is it?

You do it in a German vehicle. American police use American vehicles. These are inferior to German vehicles because most Americans do not know how and are not interested in driving. We drive vehicles as an extension or our homes; filled with electronics and entertainment but very clumsy and ill-balanced. German cars are for people who appreciate driving.
