May be one of the reason.Include green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Drink a lot of water regularly to flush out toxins. Avoid deep fried snacks.Hope this link helps with more remedies .

I have always heard to many sweets can cause pimples but I think some people just have oily skin and are more prone to getting them.

it may throw off your chemical balance, and that might cause pimples. but typically, diet doesn't have as much of an impact of pimples as people think. it's all about chemicals, genes, and cleanliness.
