ok for TRUE SURROUND SOUND, your home cinema will need an opticial input, as the sky box has opticial out. this will give you 5.1.

if your system doesn't have this then the next best thing is digitial coxial. MAKE sure that both systems have theses connections.

Failing that then the only way is to use the red and white ( phono ) connection from the sky into your system, this will give you 2.1 which is better then a slap and a tickle with a wet fish!!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps wg

has your tv got a scart i/o(in out)
if not u can use a lead from ure tv head phone socket to home cinema system as its only a glorified amplifier with extra speakers if u got a scart i/o u can get a cart without leads just put ure own leads through it the appropriate leads to fit ure cinema sound system

There should be an audio output on your TV, it is probably just going to be RCA cables to the surround sound reciever, but it still better than stereo. just plug the rca cables from the tv to the auxillary imput on the reciever

From apejawsoup : "has your tv got a scart i/o(in out)"

SCART is limited to two audio channels, meaning it cannot deliver surround sound with discrete surround channels, such as Dolby Digital or DTS.
