Depends, it has good nutrients in it, but for a dieting or weightlifting diet pretty much no. Most cereals contain large amounts of sugars, and even tricks you with its stat consumption. If your going to have a high nurtient low sugar cereal its good for you, but i wouldnt reccomend relying on it for a weighlifting diet.

Not when they pile pounds of sugar on it.

Most cereals really don't have much to them. A lot of new cereals are much healthier than some which have been around forever, have all kinds of food colouring and flavouring to them and as I said pounds of sugar! Reducing or "halving" the sugar as some do don't make them all that much healthier, but is a ploy to have moms continue buying that stuff for their kids.

Frankly, it's the added milk, or soy milk if you use that, which adds all the "nutrients" which are listed on the side label.

The newer brands incorporate a lot of different grains and berries which make them healthier for you, but I doubt most kids are sold on them.

I'd rather make pancakes and add blueberries or other fresh berries to it and make a great smoothie for breakfast.

It depends on what kind of cereal. Honeycomb, Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs, and Captain Crunch aren't as healthy as cerals like Kix, Rice Crispies, Cheerios, Special K, and Mini Wheats.

depends which one, obviously the sugary stuff isn't but good oats or porridge is excellent and sets you up for the day. What is most important, however, is to have a breakfast meal which provides you with energy for the forthcoming day and balances blood sugar levels which have been depleted overnight. If you don't have brekkers, then you can get irritated, moody and can't concentrate - that's why breakfast of any kind is good for you .
