Steam it and chop some ginger and place some on top and inside the tilapia.
While it's steaming, get some soy sauce or Maggi and add sugar and water it down a little. Then heat some oil until it's really hot.
Once the tilapia is cooked, add some onion leaves as a garnish. Place it on top of the fish. Then add the soy sauce mix and pour the hot oil on top of the fish.
This is a Chinese dish.

I have used the same recipe as mil414, and it works wonderfully. The only exception is, that I don't use garlic on any fish because I was told by a famous chef that garlic overpowers the delicate tatste of it, especially white fleshed fish like sole, halibut, cod...and it's never done if fine cuisine. I was told that the simpler the method, the better (a little butter, lemon & dill). However, if some people (spouses or children) don't really like fish and you want them to eat it and they like garlic then yes, by all means but keep it light.

Broil it. First rub some butter on both sides of the fish, then take two tablespoons of lemon juice(fresh or bottled) with about 3 cloves of minced or chopped garlic and put that mixture inside of the fish, then sprinkle a little salt&pepper on the outside of the fish(both sides) and put the fish in a pan that is covered with aluminum foil and broil it for 5 minutes or till done.
