Cellulite is very difficult to treat. Exercise and reducing body fat will help, but because cellulite is not really caused by the fat itself but the connective tissues, it's not going to rid you of cellulite.

There are some treatments out there which can help, being Endermologie and Mesotherapy, however they don't come cheap and need to be repeated indefinitely to maintain results.

There are many medical treatments available for treating cellulite. But you need to use them regularly. If you stop the treatment, the cellulite will reappear. Make it a part of your regular beauty treatment, leading to considerable reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

There are some over-the-counter cellulite treatments that are very effective in minimizing the appearance of cellulite. Cellulite creams, lotions and gels are widely used in treating cellulite. Massage the cellulite-prone areas vigorously for some time to make these products work better. Massaging improves the blood circulation to the affected parts. It destroys the collagen bands that are responsible for constriction, giving the puckered look to the affected areas. The smoothing and tightening chemicals caffeine and aminophylline; present in the skin will smoothen and tighten the skin.

You can also go for endermology, which is a big mechanical pressure device. It uses the same process as that used by the rolling pin when it rolls out the dough while making cookies. This device kneads the affected areas with great pressure to destroy the collagen bands. It leads to smoothening of the puckered area, giving it an even and toned look. Many users have reported excellent results by using this device. But the cost, repeated visits for treatment, uncomfortable and at times slight pain causing temporary bruising are the major disadvantages of this method.

Cellulite will become less noticable as you lose fat...especially if you strength train. Strength training helps reinforce all connective tissue and "lift" areas, giving the skin a fuller appearance. Aerobic exercise is also important because it will help get rid of the fat over problem areas. I have heard that swimming can be an excellent form of exercise for cellulite because it doesn't make the skin bounce and drag and so on. Eating more fibre and green veggies will also help -- fibre soaks up and kicks out toxins, and green veggies have compounds that strengthen skin (also good for tightening up some saggy skin). However, you will probably need cosmetic therapy of some kind to really eradicate cellulite.

I am so busy with my 5 kids (all under 8 years old!) and I hate exercising and dieting, life's too short! So I thought the only option for getting rid of my ugly cellulite was to book in with a set of weekly medical roller treatments. Job done.

However, they cost me a monstrous $3000 and, you guessed it, did absolutely nothing. I couldn't believe it. It left me thoroughly depressed.

I saw this info on the web and I gave it a go, what did I have to lose now! And, my god this is genius. Quick and easy. I feel so wonderful in my new, smooth, renewed figure! I am a yummy mummy now!
