The others took your question to mean you have plain looks. I took it to mean you don't have a boisterous personality. I'm the same way. For years all I've wanted is to be famous and yet I'm shy! I don't have a distinctive look that gets attention and I'm not a loud-mouth that gets in people's faces. I would just recommend pushing yourself to get out there. No matter how nervous you might be about singing in public or starring in a production - just force yourself to sign up and do it. The more experience you have, the better (and more opportunities to get discovered). Now I need to follow my own advice!

With all due respect, you are asking the wrong question.

Singing, Dancing, and Acting all require different skill sets. I think you need to learn more about the real work that is involved at become good at any of those three instead of expecting appearance to be the main factor. We are not talking about modeling. And while appearance is crucial in modeling, that takes time and effort as well.

First, you have to be able to DO one of those things. Can you? Look at all the people in movies - not the big stars, but the supporting cast, and all the people who are television stars. Most of them just look like normal people. Hollywood needs plenty of normal people to act. But if you want to be a pop star or something - look at Britney now. If you saw her on the street, would you EVER think with some makeup, hair, and losing a few pounds, she could look like she used to? Probably not. So anyone has a shot.

Look at Woody Allen (i can't) and Barbara Streisand etc- not perfect-but talented. What you need is talent and drive more than looks. And style- thats everything.
