whilst walking on the beach today with my family, my lovely 14 year old streetwise daughter decided to investigate a deep tunnel entrance to mine workings at the foot of some cliffs. She went to to walk into the dark tunnel entrance with the torch on her mobile and misjudged the depth of water and fell in completely under the stinking water! As we rushed foward to rescue her all we could see was the back of her puffer jacket with one arm held out above the water grasping her mobile phone-saving it from ruin. She badly bruised her knee and got soaked from head to foot but was more concerned about her phone than the possibility of drowning .After pulling her out, I sat her down and tried to comfort her but I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, instead I laughed until I cried! and she sulked all the way home. Kids eh?

A Lot!!! I love it. Its just a phone, ya you are right. But its the things in it that matters the most. Someone stole my phone during my exams, the last message I got was a "Good luck" from someone very special to me, I didn't have his no written anywhere else, and I completely lost contact with him for 5 months. I lost all the saved messages I got from my friends, specially the ones they sent me just before they left the country to study abroad and all.It was like loosing a best friend. I listen to music while I am travelling, always check the time from the phone and badly missed the phone when I couldn't do those small small things.and I bought the phone with my brothers money.. he bought me a new one after, but I still miss it.

I hate mine. It's always off much to everyone's dismay. It's useful when I go out, if something happens and so on. But I find it a nuisance. Especially if someone calls me by accident, and we have to take a minute to figure out who I am and who he/she is and then finally conclude that...oops wrong number. People don't care for privacy anymore, people just phone whenever they want for whatever reason. It also destroyed family bonds. If I am talking to my mother, her phone always rings and she has to answer since she's in a medical profession. So then our conversation and precious time are cut short. If the same thing happens to my phone, I'll say YEAH and walk away, never to get one again.

My mobile ruiled my life until i threw it in the bin. That was two years ago and i haven't looked back. I have got a private life again!

I don't miss it one bit, i don't have to explain to anyone where i am all the time or why i haven't answered their call. I don't get disturbed on a day off from work looking for a document that could quite easily wait until tomorrow. I am approx £50 per month better off. I am not worried about keeping up with the latest technology avialable or constantly upgrading.

Now if you were to take away my laptop....................................A whole different story

Nowadays teens use mobile as a communication between friends and bf, for them its very important to get news. Without a mobile just for a few days, jus tlike they missing lots of stuff already. That cant afford loosing one,

Mobile Phones, I hate loath and detest them, They have reared a nation of airheads who appear to think its "Cool" to spoil other peoples lives by constantly nattering on the phones. I particularly hate the folk who use them in a supermarket to talk to someone in the next aisle. what happened to couples shopping together?

Kids?
i must be the oldest kid in town.
I was made for mobiles.
I always have it with me. If I have to have it off, as soon as I have a chance, it's on again.
I use it for call, for texting, for photos, for video, for downloading tunes, as a radio, as a calender,as a memo board, as an alarm clock, you name it...
It's almost my best friend.
I'd be lost without it.
I'd marry it if I could.
I am so with your daughter there!!
