What kind have you tried and which one seems to work best?
I personally like Advantage.

I use a natural method. Garlic.... I have 11 pups ......6 dogs.... and 4 cats.... NEVER have had a flea problem!
I have been using this method for 10 years!!

I've found that Frontline works the best. It's a bit pricey at 13-17.00 for one monthly treatment. But well worth the money to not have to worry about fleas.

There is a Fennel, fennel is a type of plant, called Dog Fennel. My Granpaw taught me about it when we had a dog with fleas. We put the fennel all over the ground and in little cloth bags inside the house. It worked and it it is not poison. It is also pretty cheap because you can grow it yourself.
The fleas left our house, property and our dog.

I've found that Frontline ( a spot treatment applied monthly from the Vet) works best for my dog.

hi the best one which Ive tried is frontline is the best one the only way you can get it is from your vets but it is worth it ive tried loads from pet shops but they dont work with frontline your dog is protected for 5wks and they come in a 3 month pack hope ive been helpful pauline

go to wal-mart and get some tree oil, and put a few drops in the shampoo. and give him a good shampoo,and rinse the dog real good.it don't take much. and no fleas or ticks...

I use Revalution on my pets. It takes care of all the fleas,,,ticks,,,and even prevents ear mites. I would not use anything else!!

i use frontline plus for my cats and dogs. i used advantage in the beginning of the summer and it did jack squat. at least your not using hartz....which has a tendency of killing cats with seizures and causing 3rd degree chemical burns dogs and cats....hartz kills!
