The top 5 payouts in 2006 were:

1. Daytona 500 - Daytona International Speeday - $1,505,120 to Jimmie Johnson (This year's winner Kevin Harvick received $1,510,470)

2. Samsung/Radio Shack 500 - Texas Motor Speedway - $530,164 to Kasey Kahne

3. Dickies 500 - Texas Motor Speedway - $521,361 to Tony Stewart

4. Allstate 400 at the Brickyard - Indianapolis Motor Speedway - $452,861 to Jimmie Johnson

5. Coca-Cola 600 - Lowe's Motor Speedway (Charlotte) - $428,414 to Kasey Kahne

Those are the top 5 payouts. As you can see Texas actually has a bigger payout than Indianapolis and the Coca-Cola 600. After the top 5 the next biggest payout is Las Vegas. Atlanta might be up there in the top 10 too.
