My mom and I are going to NYC for the weekend of Mother's Day and I'd like to take her to a few good restaurants. We're staying in the theater district. Could anyone recommend some good places? Thank you so much

Per Se. This is Thomas kellers place. He is probably the best of the best in the US anyway. It's gonna cost around $250 a person but it is the experience you are buying. Dinner will take about four hours. She will be treated like the queen I'm sure she is. This is the place you go when it dawns on you that life happens now.

don't eat in the theatre district - even for nyc the theatre district prices are crazy. meant to steal tourists money!

check out the NYtimes website for great up to date restaurant reviews.

Picholine is lovely.

Sarabeths is really nice.

check out review for a nice place in Chinatown - a part of the city not to be missed!

if you want great Sunday brunch - go to one of the southern places in Harlem.

The theatre district is in the middle of manhattan, so cabs to basically everywhere should be pretty cheap and the subway will take you everywhere.

Make reservations in advance when you can. if you're unsure you can always make a few reservations and just cancel if you end up somewhere else.

at the top of the Marriot Marquis (in the theatre district) is a restaurant/bar with a 360 rotating view of nyc. overpriced, but a great view. worth at least a drink.

and the tkts booth in the middle of times square is the place to go to get severeely discounted theatre tickets for shows playing that day. A great opportunity to see theatre and save some cash for a nice meal.

have fun!

Make reservations early. You could try Jezebel's, southern cooking. There is a restaurant in the Paramount Hotel, but don't remember the name, you can just Google the hotel to get the name of the restaurant. For French there is Pierre Au Tunnel. For ribs, the best in the city is Virgils. Slow service, but good food, B. Smiths. Expensive, but worth it, Orso's. For Italian you can't beat Carmine's, but not sure if they take reservations, and it isn't very fancy. Of course, you can always take a look through Zagat's and go by their ratings. It is certainly to be trusted.

At your age the decide will pay interest for your desires, maximum likely. yet, in the journey that your mom mentions that he helps you to drink alcohol...i imagine which will be yet another tale.... reliable success
