It is just a bad habit you have developed, like picking your nose, farting or sniffleing. You need to consciously try to break the habit. It isn;t done with medicine or therapy necessarily... Do it by wearing a smile.
Practice in front of the mirror to smile. It's easy and you need to try to remember. SMile even when you don;t feel like it. People will treat you different.
If you have a close friend, have them help you. When you get moody, get them to give you a sign to smile.
It is hard to be moody when you smile.

I think sometimes though what we eat sometimes affect our moods. Maybe evaluate the food you eat and go from there. If you really want to stop snapping at everyone, just do so. Not any of us here in Yahoo can help you on that; you can only help yourself by just quit snapping at everyone. When you are kinds with people, you will be rewarded with kind people too. If you start your day as moody, all day long you will have a bad day. Something is giving you reason why you are this way, We dont just become moody for no reason. I hope this help you.

I'm thinking you're female from your name, and I saw you asked a question about what to buy your dad for his 65th birthday, so I'm thinking you may be getting old enough to get pre-menopausal symptoms. I know that I am getting PMS really bad now that I am 42, and I have bipolar besides, so it is setting me off like crazy. But I think the hormone stuff by itself can get you going if you are on the worse end of things.
Sometimes it's just overcast too long, and when the sun comes out things get better. And you can get awfully stir-crazy shut up in the house all winter if you live up north.
What I do when I can't help it is warn people that I am really crabby and try not to take it personally. They still do, but they get over it quicker. You could even make a joke out of it and put a sign on your shirt with a warning on it "Crabby person" or something.
Good luck!

You may be suffering from depression. Are you undergoing any stress at the moment? If so can you identify it and try to sort it. Have you had some recent problems, they don't have to be major ones. Depression can affect many of us and is very common, but there is treatment for it, either by pills or talking therapy. There is nothing to feel guilty about if you are depressed. Depression causes mood swings, feelings of inadeqaucy, unworthiness, irritability, impatience, tiredness, sadness, and a host of problems. Moodiness is a typical symptom, but it is only one. Other reasons may be hormonal.
Hope this helps.

get entangled in assisting others and your moodiness will go away. help a venture, connect a club, and rather exercising (aerobics or walking or some variety of a collection classification). you will rather experience greater advantageous. as long as you like what your doing, who you're, the place you're going and and so on. Do you truthfully care whether that isn't any longer comparable to that of your neighbor's. as long as your chuffed- to extreme hell with each physique else! existence is basically too short to run around human beings attractive all the time.

Try taking St John's Wort every day. This is a herbal extract often used as a mood regulator for people with depression and studies have shown that it is just as effective as anti-depressants. However if you are taking the contraceptive pill you cannot take St John's Wort as it interferes with the pill being absorbed so leaving you at risk of pregnancy. If you do decide to take St John's Wort then buy the best you can afford and check with your doctor or homeopathist that it is the correct dosage.

Why dont you make yourself an appointment to see your GP just to get yourself checked over, you may be lacking in iron or something or you could just be very run down and that can make you feel very irritable and emotional.
Try having some time by yourself and when you do feel like your going to snap at somebody walk away before your emotions kick in and you end up lashing out.
Take care. x x

Lots of water, fresh air and light and sleep - less caffine and booze helps me when I'm in that mood.
I also did something called the Landmark Forum, and while it may not be suitable for everyone, it put a lot of things in perspective and I stopped snapping at people so much.
Good luck
