Do you believe that kids "are just going to have $ex whether you tell them not to or not."? Do you think kids are going to ignore you, or do you think that if you set the standard high, then kids will rise to that level? I'd appreciate any opinions you have and any correspondance with you. If there are any teenagers on this, I'd love your opinions too. Let me know what your age range is.

I believe teenagers rebel against oppression and enforced opinions, but they marvel under friendly advice and good role models. In matters of sexual education it's always good to be on your kid's side not forgetting what it was like when we were teenagers and remembering that there are hormones at play as well. You have to encourage a kid to form his own mind on sex and not tell him what to do or worse what not to do. Just explain with arguments and if your case stands you have a good chance of influencing him/her. I feel kids, in such matters, should always be treated like adults.

Kids who are taught high standards do not do it.
And I am an adult who taught kids well.
