You need to find out why you're having these negatives feelings.
I suspect you're a bit stressed out with your schedule (4 children & your jobs, in & out of your house). What are you doing for yourself (downtime: relaxing, massage or exercising). You need to do something that feeds you & perhaps go get some professional help & talk to a counselor.

Meditation and yoga are great non-drug remedies. They help with stress and also provide you with some ME time which can be difficult for a busy parent (especially mothers who have to run a household and a job). You say you have a good husband which is great because you will need buy-in from the other family members to give you your space.
Have you been on vacation recently, or out for a romantic meal with your husband? (If you've been a bit ratty lately it's probably worth telling your husband you love him.)
If you feel really low, snappy, everything is too much trouble, you may be suffering from depression. If this is the case, you can't just "snap out of it" any more than you could snap out of having a cold or measles. Talk to your doctor.
The important thing is that you have recognised you have a problem. The next step has to be to take some action to fix it.

Good luck.

Is there any chance you are pre-menopausal?? This can make somebody cranky as your body is releasing and experiencing new hormones and as a result our minds respond in a very different way to the new sensations within our bodies?

Alternatively, it could be something psychological that has been triggered- have you had any traumatic event happen that may be affecting your behaviour. Try sitting down and take a chance to meditate/reflect on your feelings and try and pinpoint them. If you feel yourself start to get cranky, take a few minutes to compose yourself and think to yourself what it is that is REALLY bothering you.

If you continue to feel this way- consult your Doctor as it could be you have deep-routed problems that need to be investigated through a course of cognitive therapy- especially if it is effecting your life and relationships. A few years ago a had something happen to me and it recently re-surfaced leaving me feeling very insecure and i blocked out all my friends by treating them like ****. I started to have counselling which helped me to face my fears and i was slowly able to rebuild my relationships and had a better understanding of why i felt the way i did. I had therpay for 8 weeks and it helped my moods immensely.

It sounds like to me that you don't like yourself ,and since it is hard for us to blame ourselves we find fault with everyone else around us. I was like that for a very long time. Then I found this book by Louise Hay called Love Yourself Heal Your Life. First I read the book , then I bought the workbook . It helped me see My true beauty and all the People around me . I highly recommend it . In a matter of no time ; you'll be back to your loving self in no time. God Bless

Try some transcendental meditation. Always works for me. Find a quiet spot, put some nice, relaxing music on your Walkman, close your eyes and relax for twenty minutes. Don't think of anything. Let your mind drift. You'll be amazed at how good you'll feel afterwards.
