I dont believe you have to be a citizen. I served in Iraq with guys from Turkey and Morocco who were not citizens, but were in the Army. I recommend contacting the nearest U.S. Army recruiter to you, and asking what you can do. He will go out of his way to find a means to get you in.

You do NOT have to be a citizen of the US to join the US military. Non-citizens can join, too. You WILL have to swear an oath that you will defend the US against any and all enemies, though, and that means that you may have to do something where you are working against your home country. I really doubt that the US will go to war against Canada any time soon, though. We haven't invaded them in almost 200 years.
Contact a recruiter in the US for details.

I served with a couple of Candian Nationals while I was in the AF. They could not get any classified positions but they were allowed to serve however; you are only going to be able to join with a US Green Card (perminent status) and at a MEPS in the States.

You get in your car, on a bus, or a plane and head to the nearest major U.S. city. There you can look in the telephone directory for a recruiter who will probably be quite happy to sign you up.
