I have heard that going bowling around the end of your pregnancy can cause your water to break, or labor to start...anyone heard of this?

I have never heard of that. I would ask your Dr. if that is ok for you to do because he is the one monitoring you. But, I wouldnt shy away from it if you can do it. You must have energy to burn, bless you. Congrats on baby!

When I was pregnant with my twins the dr told me no lifiting of anything more than 10 pounds. Bowling could induce labor but not just because of the ball weight. The range of movement could put your body in a strain. If you are close to term bowling might be a bad idea.

I bowled in my 3rd trimester. Any activity in late term (very late term) pregnancy is good for getting labor started. Unless your OB has limited your activity I wouldn't worry about it. Just don't overdo it. If you're tired or cramping then stop.

I've known women that bowled all the way to the end, but check with your doctor to be sure.
