i was in the philippines for a short while.every shopping centres has a securities at every point of entry and everyone that goes in have to be checked,metal detected and sometimes body checked before being allowed to the shopping centres.to make it sure that everyone inside are safe from any troubles.do we need it here in the every shopping centres in australia?remembered the strathfield shopping centre massacres in the late 90s.i dont care if it will take a while to get in inside .as long that me and my family will know that everyone will be safe.

no i don't think so. australia is a safe place and well secured. the people as well are honest (though not all, of course..:) that's why transperth have switched to smart rider this time to avoid fare evasion).
i don't find the need to do so. though some shopping centres already have built in detectors which is effective.

No. No security at shopping centres. They have security guards in genral walking around teh shopping centres, but no. Nothing like you described.
Haha. xD We're too laid back.
The only places we have that kinda thing is at the airports at at Parliment house.
