It does not seem like windows media, real player, or quick time can accomodate this.

RAR files are zipped files and you need the RAR extruding software package-it's easy to download from somewhere like Limewire.
AVI files are video files, make sure you have the latest version of Media Player (Version 10) You can get this free from Microsoft.com

RAR files can be open with WinRAR, google it, it's a free program that everyone should have. AVI's are opened with Windows Media Player. If it doesn't, you might need a codec. Try another program, I prefer VLC (also free).

RAR is for WinRAR & .AVI open with Windows Media Player 10.
