The Yukon is fabulous. It's like a secret playground. Alhough the winters are cold and dark (with stunning northern lights)... the summers are warm and sunny. It's land of the midnight sun! 24 hour daylight means lots of time to do stuff. I was there in May June July. The temperature got into the mid 30s (Celcius.)Very warm - hot.
The scenery is amazing. Breath-takingly beautiful. There is a lot of wildlife (black, grizzly and even polar bears, caribou, moose, mountain goats, fox, wolves, etc etc and thousands of species of migrated birds.) The people are very very friendly. There is lots to do... white water rafting on the Tat, kayaking the Yukon River, hiking, visiting Dawson City gold rush town, and Whitehorse- the vibrant capitol city, hot springs, Kluane National Park. etc etc
I loved the Yukon!!!!!

Yes I have but it was a long time ago....December of 1984. It was very cold....got down to -40. (that's where Fahrenheit and Celsius come together) I remember lots of snow....and not much light....It was getting light about 10am and dark about 3pm. But I did see the northern lights as we were driving back into Alaska....Bright Green and Pink all over the sky.
