2. Israel can take care of itself. The Patriot Missile is an adequate defense. It will shoot down enough incoming missiles. If the US were to attack just the nuclear facilities, it would be done in a couple of hours. Chances are the vast majority of their missile sites would be included in the strikes.
3. The Iranians will do what they and their brothers always do. Cry and act like the cowards they are. They will take the media to the all the bombed out factories and claim they were baby milk factories.

People,People,People, everyone is talking about if we attack Iran what would happen to Israel. What would happen to the U.S.A.? China and Russia, have Gazillions of dollars invested in Iran. They will not stand by and watch their investments start glowing in the dark. They would have to go after our carrier battle groups who launched the missiles and air craft that attacked their investments. And no matter what you have heard, they are not invincible. Our subs might get away, but then what do we do? We would loose every AWACS in the area too. So then do we go after Russia and China too? WITH WHAT! It would get so bad that even the Bush twins would be called up in the draft that would follow.NO, wait a minute, THAT would never happen! If Iran was to be attacked...we will send them into a confused tizzy..then they will try to attack Isreal in retaliation. Isreal will immediately respond and all will be quiet on the Eastern front.

My guess, is that Israel will open the attack with small tactical nukes with the quiet approval of most of the world. The UN will condemn the Israelis attack, while most of the Arab world call to thank them in private. US will then have deniablity. The US would face a strong backlash in Iraq if it attacked Iran, so I think that is unlikely without some Iranian or false flag incident.

In the event of a us attack on Iran i would think iran would be too busy with puting up a resistance to the usa to care what's happening in isreal. even if they did decide to attack isreal instead of putting up a defense against the usa right before the iraq war isreal and the usa put the finishing touches on the patriot 2 which is capable of shooting down anything anyone wants to lob at them
