Liking someone is not weird. In fact, what you are feeling is normal. And maybe Matt is thinking the same thing.

You might want to try and slip it into conversation sometime when you get the chance. Just bring up an "imaginary" friend who started dating a guy she knew all her life and then ask him, "Wouldn't that be something if we ended up doing that?" And then see what he says.

It's not weird but very common. Sometimes we think we are attracted to someone just because we feel so comfortable with them. Don't take it to the next level, you will regret doing that. You are feeling what is natural to feel. Someone who has been a great companion, a best friend and is always there for you, that is what we seek in our significant others. But friendship should always set precident over relationships. Keep the friendship, he sounds like a great guy.

Whole life. The term is relative. People have an advantage if they are friends with the one they love. Remain friends. If a relationship is to be, it will happen. You have many years ahead of you before you really need to think about that.

In fact, that is the best way to build a lasting relationship. If you've known someone a while, like you have then you will be able to know them in weird situations better.

Best of luck to you.

It shouldn't be weird to like someone. We don't really get to choose that. I think it would be a good foundation on which to build a relationship.

Wait to see if your crush phase ends and you get back to just being friends. If it doesn't end, I'd say act on those feelings. If you want to have a relationship, be open and honest.

same scenario: my dad and Zack's dad have been best friends all our lives. they always talked about how cute it would be if we ot married and things. so finally on NewYear's night their dream came true. Th two of us had always shownsome interest in each other, and now we've been together for almost a year. Things are GREAT, and its also convenient that our families already knew each other and approved of one another.

so i say GO FOR IT!

It's not weird to like anyone. Especially if it's in a crush way. Just be yourself, you have the best chance to get one if you known him for that long, I'll tell you that. Go for it!

Hon, you can't help who you like and it will keep changing as you grow up. Don't worry about who you like and who you don't like now. Just have fun growing up and discovering who you are. Just hang out with Matt some more and really try and find out if you like him.
