That is a good question, go to the vet and check that out! If you look at many of my posts you will see that I am not one to tell people to go to the vet often. I do often give some additional advice, but in your case where blood is not in the stool but in the urine, you need to go to the vet.

Sounds like there may be an infection or stones. Let your vet have a look.Only a proper diagnosis and prescribed meds can correct the problem. If left unattended for too long your dog will end up in a great deal of pain.

He probably has a UTI. There could be other reasons, but this is the most likely one. Make sure he gets lots of water, and take him to the vet. You'll need to get meds to clear it up. Be sure and take a sample in with you. (This is not easy to do, and rather gross, I know!) My dog had the same thing happen - acted normal, ate, drank, etc. Except he was peeing more than normal and there was blood in the urine.

Take your dog to your vet immediately. My dog is going through this right now. He had surgery last month and they took out some calcium buildup in his bladder. His vet put him on a special diet. With the cost of urinalysis, surgery, food and some meds, it already cost me over $1,000.00. Luckily, I have insurance for him so I'm gettin reimbursment on some of his medical expenses. But, I would have that check out as early as possible. He started urinating blood back in September last year and my vet did several test before surgery. He goes back in a week for another urinalysis. So far there are still drops of blood but not as bad as before.

He could have a bladder infection. You should take him to the vet, blood in the urine is never a good thing.

Your dog probably has a urinary tract infection. But...he could also have kidney stones, bladder stones, etc. He needs to get checked out by a vet.

I wouldn't wait too long to seek a vet as my daughters cat just had serious kidney infections and was told animals who experience urinary problems are subject to PERMANENT damage! Might want to consider giving back to man's best friend what he gives to you!

well one possibility of this is that there could be something wrong with your dogs urinary track and even though he could be acting normal he could have something seriously wrong with him and should be taken to the vet right away.
