Do the Master Cleanse / Lemonade diet

Well, I joined Weight Watchers and have lost almost 20 pounds so far. If you eat nothing but Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones, and Weight Watchers food you can lose 3 pounds a week, but the thing is, if you ever stop eating it you gain weight. This is why no organized diets actually work. They just want your money. The best thing you can do is to stop eating so much junk food. Don't completely deprive yourself: have a brownie every once in a while (as in once a week, not once every day) so you don't feel deprived and give up. When you start craving junk food during the day, snack on something else that is healthier, like fruit or carrots. Find something healthy that you like that you can replace a junk food with. Celery actually has negative calories, as in you spend more calories digesting it than it has in it. Just don't be tempted to eat celery with peanut butter and think it's healthy, because peanut butter is FULL of fat. Just pay more attention to what you eat and the calories and fat that are in it. Don't eat when you're not hungry, and when you eat meals, eat slowly, chew a lot, and pay attention so you can stop eating when you feel full. Don't finish what's on your plate just because it's there if you're not hungry. And, finally, exercise! Take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk instead of riding in the car when you can, talk a walk during the day instead of watching TV. Even just doing household chores can burn calories. Hope I helped some. =) Oh yeah, I also heard that if you drink a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar after every meal it can help you lose weight. Supposedly the vinegar breaks down the food so it doesn't turn to fat, or something like that...? I'm not sure how it works but my cousin did it and she lost weight. If you do that, though, don't rely on the vinegar alone. Still watch what you eat and exercise. =)

Burn more calories than you eat.

Cut your fat intake.

Eat three cups of fat free low cal yogurt a day (make sure it has live cultures in it) and pineapples. This helps you break down your food.

Do 45-60 min. of aerobic exercise a day (preferably before you eat in the morning). This will attack the fat. Try to supplement your training with some running, running stairs or hills, and cycling. Mix it up, it will keep your body guessing.

Do 30 min of weight training three times a week. This will build lean muscle which will in turn burn fat.

Keep moving all the time. Tap you feet while at the computer, tap you hands on your legs while walking. Keep moving and keep burning calories.

I lost 40 lbs in two months and have kept it off for eight more months doing this. I also took my body fat % from 30% to 14% and my waist from 36 inches to 31.

Just work out as much as you can, you want to keep hydrated and continue eating regularly so that you don't lose the energy you need for your track meet events. No one should ever try to lose weight quickly, because the things you have to do in order to do it aren't always good for your health, especially if you're an athlete. The best thing to do is get a lot of exercise. Talk to your coach about what things you can do physically to prepare for your events.

If you try to crash this hard, you'll be too weak to do well in your meet. Sorry, but it's true. You'd most likely just end up dehydrated. Maybe set a goal for 9 or 10 pound with lots and lots of fruit and water. Please don't make yourself sick or let your team mates down so you can see a magic number on a scale.
Good luck!
