Depending on what the pan is made out of, you can use oven cleaner (again, I dont know what type of metal it is) or, if it's a non-stick tin, then just soak it in some cold water with some dish soap overnight.

I have same problem with pans from oven. I just let them soak in water w/dish-washing detergent over-night and then get out the old scrub brush the next day.

Soak it with some dishwasher soap like liquid Cascade and let it sit and it will eat the stain off.

First you have to soak them in hot, soapy water for a while then scrub them with a Brillo pad. Rinse well in cold water.

spray affected area. let stand for a few minutes, wipe with brillo pad, wash thoroughly with soap and water
