ok Erin and And rew is a great guy by your description and my memopry of him from school. Also, I think that you should play it cool and then when you guess get really close then you tell him how you feel. If you think that this awnser is a crazy idea then tell then I won't mind if you don't use it but please Erin pick me for best awnser. I will pick you every time I see your name under my question's awnser list. so please pick me!

It will only destroy it if he doesn't feel the same way for you. To find out how he feels, tell him you had plans to go out with a friend to a movie but she cancelled and now you don't have anything to do on saturday (or sunday) then ask if he would like to go with you to see the movie because you hate going to the movies alone. (even offer to pay).
If he likes you, not only will he go but he might even offer to pay for it instead. (don't forget to flirt a little) And if you get it that far, afterwards, tell him you're hungry. This will give you more time to spend with him and more time to flirt. If he doesn't give you a goodnight kiss then he just wants to be friends.
Here's a hidden truth - "Men love it when girls flirt with them" (nothing naughty just smile a lot, laugh at any jokes and touch his arm from time to time when you are talking to him) Go get him girl, stake your claim and put on the charm.
At least you'll know after the date if he just wants to be friends or if there could be something more.

no it's not true-very few "concepts and ideas" or "i heard(s)" are true...esp not this one...Normally I would say tell him your feelings considering you're friends, but save this as a last resort. If you are unsure if he likes you, make him like you! Your a girl, make him feel like you have something he wants (more than in a physical sense). Attract him to you, after all he attracted you. But if he doesnt catch the hints, build onto your friendship and tell him. BTW if you didnt know, weird anomolies/revealings in friendships build stronger ones. If and when you tell him, if he abandons your friendship, just rest assure he wasnt a strong enough man for you anyway.

You will never know if he likes you if ask him, but that does not mean that you go to him and ask do you like. So here what you start by having small conversation with him and then end the conversation by asking him for his if he is seeing anyone and if not ask him for his phone number and then ask him if the two of you can go out for coffee, a movie , or just something that the two of you have in common.

well my dear it is a double edged sword if he feels the same about you it will be great you cats already know each other pretty well I assume and that's a head start but if he is interested in a relationship with someone else it will make the friendship feel awkward and kill it or at least hurt it tremendously so figure how he feels about you and if he has interest with other women first

It all depends. Sometimes it's like both of you feel the same way, and sometimes only one of you my feel more for this person.
It's to make this decision. Friends or Romantic relationship. See what he thinks about moving to the next step. Talk to him, feel him out sort of. See where his head is at.

If he says no, just tell him you were kidding. If he's a true friend, it won't destroy your friendship.

I really depends on the guy. If they are sensitive, they might ike you and have just been waiting for something to break the ice. Other guys, might get really angry. You just have to see what kind of guy he is and go from there.
