For every action there is a consequence. Be mature and accept the responsibility of your actions, and take the punishment as it comes. The truth will set you free! Your punishment won't last as long as your guilt for blaming someone else.

You should be mature enough to accept your own errors. Also it's not fair with the person you blamed it on, he/she will maybe tell that you did it and you'll be in worst trouble. Just say I'm sorry I wont do it again.
