if you are an atheist than I would think that you more than others should care that the War in Iraq ends because it's people suffering and dying in this world, which is just a universal yuckiness, and you wouldn't have a back-up-plan of praying to G-d so you'd know that this life we have here on Earth is it and we as humans have to take care of each other the best we can because there is no Higher Power that would step in and do it...
or...at least, if I was an atheist that's why I would care...but I am not so I am not sure quite what would persuade you

One need not be theist ti be concerned with the consequences of war. The Iraq has cost thousands of lies under questionable purposes and false pretenses. The outcome of war in that region can have great effect on the oil market, which is economically important. And also there is the fact the people who live there are suffering through life in a country torn by civil conflict. As an atheist, you probably wouldn't care about the theological reasons for their conflict, but you could still be concerned about the political, social and economic implications of the war. And if you still don't care, I guess you just don't. No one can make you care.

Well, I can't say if you are an atheist or not because I don't know you, but from your question, you seem to be very rude and selfish. If you think that simply because you do not believe in God that gives you the right to say such horrible things when everyday a child dies, becomes on orphan or is critically injured because of the situation in Iraq, then you are very twisted. How would you feel if you were a five year old kid walking on the street with your mom and suddenly she blew up in front of you? You should care if the war in Iraq ever ends because it is because of people like you that it is still going on.

What does being an atheist have to do with it? Do you care about human life. If so then you already care about the War ending. If you don't care than maybe you can choose to search your heart and find out why.

From my Christian perspective, just because you are an atheist does not mean that you are some horrible person without standards, values or morals. I have known many people who do not have a belief in God yet are kind and generous. No one really likes to see bloodshed and suffering unless they are inherently evil. You being an atheist is beside the point.

Because if the war isn't stopped, with the decline in enlistment, there will be a draft. And I hope you are the first one to go if it comes to that. By the way, just because your atheist, does not exempt you from being human. And your just an asssshole!
