It seemed as though it came up over night. At first I thought it was a wart, which I thought was strange because no one in my family has ever had one so, I had no clue as to what they would resemble. The next day I bought Dr. Scholl's wart remover. This caused it to turn red and it looks like it was burned. My school nurse informed me that it was not a wart and she did not know what it was either. The bump is the same color as my skin only a little glossy, it is round, dome shaped, and hard. Ever since this bump poped up my fingers have been tingling. I have no clue as to what it could be and I am curious could this be harmful in any way? Please help me this thing is so embrassing : (

Sounds like a ganglion. I have seen them before and the one pictured at this website is a good representation of one:

I had something similar on the back of my hand and my doctor said it was a calcium deposit. It stayed for a few weeks and then just disappeared. You may want to think about checking with your doctor if your fingers are tingling.

i suggest you go to the doctor
you can't really ask somebody this over the Internet because we ourselves can not see it therefore there are plenty of possibilities
you really need to check with the doctor
=)

Look up "GANGLION" in your medical book. Or, if you
don't have one, go to your local library and look it up.
Sometimes, someone just makes a fist and hits it, and
then it clears up.
