obviously you're a newer fan. fox is the worst network to cover the races. tnt was good until last year when they lost their contract. espn (EXCEPT FOR WALLACE) is great and one of the original networks to televise the races, before any of you newbs knew what nascar was. dw/jaws needs to get off tv and shut his mouth. most of us didn't like he when he raced and talked a lot, now all he does is talk a lot. the ONLY good thing on fox is DICK BERGGREN. he's been in racing for decades and knows more about the sport than anyone else on any of the networks.
so in final, to answer your question fox shouldn't cover any of the races, and dw is a waste of the position.

DW, and Hammond seem to think everyone is tuning in to watch them, oh by the way a race is taking place. I can't wait until July, when they change to ABC, ESPN take over to finish the year.
Oh and on Michael he was caught cheating, and acted like he knew nothing about it. That was just covering his *** with a new team. I would be willing to bet now that he is in a hole in points, he will miss at least 7 races this year because of qualifying. I think after 5 races it changes to top 35 in points for provisional starts. since he didn't qualify for California he will be 43rd at best.

Oh yea, I couldn't agree with Ron L less! I can't imagine Brett Mussburger attempting to carry Mike Joy's briefcase. As for Hammond, who on ABC can describe up to date issues in a Nextel Cup car any better. Larry Mac speaks with his heart. Maybe his English isn't the best but he explains pit strategies and up coming adjustments very well. As for DW in my opinion gets carried away with himself at times. For that reason I enjoyed the professionalism of Ned Jarrett and Buddy Baker.

NASCAR is a monopoly. They do what they want. There is no "should do" with NASCAR. They contracted with FOX for first 13 races, with SPEED for the All-Star Challenge, with TNT for 6 races, with ESPN for 6 races and with ABC for the final 11 races.
NASCAR is there to make money, not what people tell them they should do. They figure if people pay for it, then they are doing something right. The more people pay, the more right they are doing.
DW won the most NASCAR races, and is a good announcer, but best? best what? Best redneck?

I think that NASCAR should be on Fox the entire season. It seems like the guys at Fox get more excited about the races than the other brocasters.
Boogity, Boogity, Boogity let's go racing boys.

the races would be covered year round if they raced year round, but the last I heard they end the season late in the year and start up again at Daytona in Feb. So there's nothing to report, is there? They still have some coverage on the drivers in between and show old races, don't they?

That "Boogity, boogity" was cute the first time I heard it three years ago. But now, like DW himself, it's old and stupid.
