You can buy wormers without a prescription. Read the directions, and chose carefully which wormer will work best. (Many breeders like Nemex for worms other than tape.)

Organic un filtered apple cider vinegar is not only safe but also very healthy to give your dog. Benefits of it use include healthier skin and coat, and healthier digestion for your pet. It can be used to treat yeast ear infections, hot spots, and yes worms as it makes their environment acidic And un hospitable. All you do is add A couple tablespoons in their water, and no they probably won't care/or be able to tell the difference, just make sure it's diluted well with water or add to their kibble. On another note garlic also is a home solution to worms. Give them 1/2 to one whole piece raw in the food a couple times a week.
People tend to forget that doctors and vets were not always around with magic pills. There are natural and far safer remedies than man made drugs.

There are several home remedies. All of which take time, but they do work. Mix oregano and cloves in your dogs food, up to 1/2 teaspoon each per meal. There is also a homeopathic supplement called Neem. This has been proven to work on dogs. I would use all three at once for a faster clean out.
Essential oils that work with a mix of 1 drop to 10 drops of carrier oil like olive, jojoba, almond or coconut are, 1. German Chamomile, Oregano and Clove. These are the best essential oils to apply topically to dogs feet and back end.

There are NO effective home remedies for deworming. To effectively and safely deworm a dog and especially puppies use only those products prescribed by your vet in the correct dosage and for the type(s) of worms you are dealing with.

There are some good over the counter meds for this.Vets are great don't get me wrong, however, markup is so frickin high!
There are a lot of Vet supply stores out there where you can buy otc, good products for less. And there is usually a vet tech working there.Petmeds.com and others like that. Most can be used on pups as well as adult dogs.
DO NOT FEED YOUR ANIMAL TOBACCO! for the love. This rids them of worms only because it strips the stomach lining and can cause stomach bleeding.
Good luck.

I don't know of any. All my dogs and cats are allergic to the store bought stuff. Vet medication is normally pretty cheap for worms. Try calling around. Or, if you know what meds you need you can try PetMeds on-line.

No. Go to the vet. OTC treatments and home remedies are ineffective and possibly dangerous.
